UnitedChild Booth at Wong Tai Sin Youth Festival
Wong Tai Sin District is a northern district in Kowloon, Hong Kong, ranked around 14th - 16th out of 18 districts in Hong Kong in terms of educational attainment and median income. The theme in this year’s festival is artificial intelligence (AI). UnitedChild hosted a booth at the event to educate attendees on how to use AI appropriately by playing a game of “Real v.s. AI-generated Photos.” This game, which was played by a young audience of around 350 throughout the day, taught them the characteristics of AI-generated images and how to distinguish between real and AI-generated images to prevent scams and misleading information. As youths growing up in a technologically evolving society, we have the right to know what is true or not with what we see online.
Rights and Responsibilities at ESF Jockey Club Sarah Roe School
JCSRS is a school for students with special educational needs. We taught the school’s entire high school cohort the distinction between rights and responsibilities. Using interactive movement games, "Rights and Responsibilities" matching activities, and original colouring sheets created by the UnitedChild team, we promoted engagement, clarified key concepts, and encouraged teamwork, allowing students to express themselves in a supportive environment.
Who We Are (Children's Rights) at ESF Quarry Bay School
At QBS, we introduced children’s rights to Year 4 students through group discussions, matching activities, and real-life scenario games. These helped students identify specific rights, such as protection and education, while encouraging them to advocate for themselves and others with empathy, confidence, and social awareness.
Community Project Showcase at ESF South Island School
As part of the Community Project Showcase, SIS Year 11 students (our founder and co-founders) were given the opportunity to present their 2 years of volunteering and action work to both parents and younger students. We presented at the showcase in the hope of educating younger students about community issues and encouraging them to take action.
